Regain Your Independence with Our Help

Sometimes the thing that helps most isn’t “therapy”. It’s sorting the practical stuff so life stops feeling impossible.

We may be able to help with:

  • Specialist equipment and mobility support, including wheelchairs and kit
  • Welfare support for immediate needs that takes pressure off quickly
  • Targeted grants for eligible injured personnel, including amputees and those medically discharged

Who is eligible:

Pilgrim Bandits’ individual grants support eligible amputee serving and ex-serving Armed Forces personnel, certain reservists, and eligible Emergency Forces personnel, including some medically discharged cases. We can confirm eligibility with you.

Prefer to talk it through first? Email us, and we’ll guide you.

Our mandate requires us to prioritise amputee service personnel.

Supporting Your Return to Work

Recovery isn’t just physical. It’s also about feeling useful again and having options.
Pilgrim Bandits offers free or partially funded courses across a wide range of industries for Military and Blue Light veterans — particularly where training can help someone move towards employment or regain direction.

This support can include:

  • Short courses and qualifications to build confidence and capability
  • Training that supports a return to work, a new role, or a new path
  • Practical guidance on what’s realistic next (not what looks nice on paper)

Tell us what you’re aiming for and what’s getting in the way.

Challenges to Rebuild Confidence and Connection

This is the side of Pilgrim Bandits people hear about, but it’s not “adventure for adventure’s sake”. These challenges are designed to rebuild confidence and connection.

In the stories we’ve been given, people talk about:

  • Having something to focus on again within days of getting in touch
  • Being paired intentionally with the right teammate, so talking becomes possible
  • Camaraderie arriving fast, and humour doing what lectures can’t
  • Coming home with “forever friends” and a support network that continues after the trip

What you can expect:

  • Proper planning and leadership (you’re not left to “figure it out”)
  • A team mix that helps people open up safely
  • A challenge level that pushes you, without breaking you

Help Life Feel Manageable Again

Sometimes the biggest difference comes from sorting the practical basics — mobility equipment, essential kit, or day-to-day support that helps life feel manageable again.

If you’re not sure what you need, that’s completely fine. Start with a short email, and we’ll take it from there. We’ll treat what you share with respect and confidentiality, listen properly, and help you work out the most realistic next step at a pace that suits you.
