Terms and Conditions

Last updated: September 2026

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the Pilgrim Bandits website. By using this website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the website.

Registered Charity Number: 1136166
Office Address: Unit 2A Queensway Industrial Estate, New Milton, Hampshire, BH25 5NN
Email: info@pilgrimbandits.org
Website: pilgrimbandits.org

Pilgrim Bandits supports injured military and emergency services personnel through grants, activities, expeditions, training and other charitable initiatives.

References on this website to “Pilgrim Bandits”, “we”, “us” or “our” mean Pilgrim Bandits Charity. References to “you” or “your” mean the person accessing or using this website.

2. Use of this website

The information and materials provided on this website are intended for general information about Pilgrim Bandits, our charitable work, fundraising, events, grants and related activities.

You may use this website only for lawful purposes.

You must not:

  • use the website in any way that is unlawful, fraudulent or harmful;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website, its server or associated systems;
  • introduce viruses, malicious code or other material that may damage or disrupt the website;
  • use material from the website in a way that infringes our intellectual property rights or those of another person; or
  • use the website in a way that could damage the reputation or operation of Pilgrim Bandits.

We reserve the right to restrict or suspend access to the website where reasonably necessary, including for maintenance, security or suspected misuse.

3. Website information

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that information published on this website is accurate and up to date.

However, website content is provided for general information only. We do not guarantee that all information will always be complete, accurate or current.

We may update, amend or remove website content without notice.

Nothing on this website should be regarded as medical, legal, financial or other professional advice. Where appropriate, you should obtain advice from a suitably qualified professional.

4. Donations

Donations made to Pilgrim Bandits help us carry out our charitable purposes.

Online donations may be processed by a third-party fundraising or payment provider. Where this is the case, your donation may also be subject to that provider’s terms, conditions and privacy policy.

Unless a donation has been made for a specific restricted purpose that we have agreed to accept, donations will normally be treated as unrestricted funds and used where the charity considers they are most needed in furtherance of its charitable purposes.

Once a donation has been made, we may not always be legally able to refund it. Requests concerning donations made in error or other exceptional circumstances should be made to us as soon as possible. Any refund will be considered in accordance with applicable charity law and our policies.

Where your donation has been made through a third-party fundraising platform, you may need to contact that platform directly.

5. Gift Aid

Where eligible, UK taxpayers may be able to increase the value of their donation through Gift Aid.

If you make a Gift Aid declaration, you are responsible for ensuring that you meet HM Revenue & Customs’ eligibility requirements and that the information you provide is accurate.

Please notify us if your circumstances change and you are no longer eligible for Gift Aid.

6. Fundraising for Pilgrim Bandits

We are extremely grateful to individuals, groups and organisations who raise funds on our behalf.

If you organise a fundraising activity for Pilgrim Bandits, you are responsible for ensuring that your activity is carried out safely and lawfully and that any licences, permissions, insurance or risk assessments required for your activity are in place.

Unless specifically agreed in writing, independent fundraisers are not employees, agents or representatives of Pilgrim Bandits and must not enter into agreements or make commitments on behalf of the charity.

Our name and logo must not be used in a way that suggests an event or activity is organised or formally endorsed by Pilgrim Bandits unless we have agreed this.

If you would like to organise an event or fundraising activity on our behalf, please contact us before using our branding or promotional materials.

7. Grants and applications for support

Information provided on this website about grants, financial assistance, equipment, training, expeditions or other support does not constitute a guarantee that an application will be successful.

Applications are considered according to the charity’s eligibility requirements, charitable purposes, available resources and relevant policies.

We may ask applicants to provide information or supporting evidence necessary for us to assess an application.

Submission of an application does not create a contractual entitlement to funding, support or participation.

Where an application involves sensitive or personal information, that information will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

8. Events, expeditions and activities

Pilgrim Bandits organises and supports a range of events, expeditions and activities.

Participation in a particular event or activity may be subject to separate eligibility requirements, participant terms, medical information requirements, risk assessments, waivers, insurance arrangements or codes of conduct.

Where separate participant terms apply, these will be provided before participation where appropriate.

Some Pilgrim Bandits activities are physically demanding and may involve inherent risks. Participants must follow reasonable safety instructions provided by Pilgrim Bandits, event organisers, instructors or activity providers.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.

9. Online shop and merchandise

Where products or merchandise are offered for sale through the Pilgrim Bandits website, additional terms relating to orders, payment, delivery, returns and refunds may apply.

Product descriptions and photographs are provided as accurately as reasonably possible, but colours, appearance and packaging may vary slightly.

We recommend providing separate Shop Terms & Conditions and a Delivery & Returns Policy where goods are sold online.

Purchases of merchandise and donations are legally different transactions. Any voluntary donation added to or made alongside a purchase will be treated as a donation rather than payment for the goods.

10. Intellectual property

Unless otherwise stated, the content of this website, including text, photographs, graphics, logos, branding, videos and other materials, is owned by or licensed to Pilgrim Bandits and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may view and print pages from the website for your personal, non-commercial use.

You must not reproduce, republish, distribute, modify, commercially exploit or use our content or branding without prior permission, except where permitted by law.

The Pilgrim Bandits name, logo and associated branding must not be used in a way that suggests endorsement, partnership or association without our prior written permission.

11. Photographs, stories and case studies

Our website may contain photographs, personal stories, testimonials and case studies relating to beneficiaries, supporters, volunteers, participants and events.

These materials must not be copied, reproduced or used for commercial, promotional or other purposes without appropriate permission.

Our website may contain links to external websites, fundraising platforms, payment providers, social media services and other third-party services.

These links are provided for convenience and information.

Pilgrim Bandits does not control third-party websites and is not responsible for their availability, content, security, privacy practices or terms of use.

A link to another organisation or website does not necessarily mean that Pilgrim Bandits endorses that organisation, its products or its services.

13. Privacy and personal information

We take the protection of personal information seriously.

Information about how we collect, use, store and protect personal information is provided in our Privacy Policy.

Information about cookies and similar technologies is provided in our Cookie Policy.

We may temporarily suspend or restrict access to all or part of the website for maintenance, security, technical or operational reasons.

You are responsible for using appropriate security measures and virus protection on your own devices.

15. Liability

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

Subject to applicable law, Pilgrim Bandits will not be responsible for losses arising solely from circumstances outside our reasonable control or from reliance on general information provided on this website where it was not reasonable to rely on that information for a particular purpose.

If you are participating in a Pilgrim Bandits event, expedition or other organised activity, separate participant terms may apply.

16. Complaints

We welcome feedback and take complaints seriously.

If you have a concern about Pilgrim Bandits, our fundraising activities or your experience with the charity, please contact us using the details provided on our website.

Our Complaints Procedure provides further information about how complaints are handled.

17. Changes to these Terms & Conditions

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes to the website, our activities, our service providers or applicable law and guidance.

The latest version will always be published on this page together with the date it was last updated.

18. Governing law
